Questions, interrupted.

What is Pause 2 Mins?

Pause 2 Mins is an Android digital-wellbeing app. It creates two minutes between you and the scroll — a short interruption when you stay in an app you have chosen to watch.

Does it work on Android?

Yes. Pause 2 Mins is built for Android phones. Device requirements are shown on Google Play.

What permissions does it need?

Usage access, so it can tell when a selected app is in the foreground, and overlay permission, so the interruption can appear. See how it works.

Does it track my usage?

It uses Android usage access on the device to notice selected apps. It does not send app-usage information to a Pause 2 Mins server. The current app does not include analytics. More detail is in the privacy policy.

Does it require an account?

No. The current app does not require an account. Selected apps and settings stay on the device.

Can I choose which apps it watches?

Yes. You select the apps. Pause 2 Mins watches only those.

What happens when Pause 2 Mins interrupts?

A two-minute lockout appears over the selected app. You can breathe or use Surprise me. After that, you can continue.

Are Read and Memories available?

Not yet. Read and Memories are coming later. Breathe and Surprise me are in the current app.

Does Pause 2 Mins block apps?

No. It is not a complete app blocker. It interrupts the feed so you can decide whether to continue.

Can I uninstall Pause 2 Mins?

Yes. You can turn watching off, revoke usage access or overlay permission, or uninstall it like any other app.
