Who this applies to
This policy is issued by the operator of Pause 2 Mins (“we”, “us”). It covers the Android application and this website. If something is not listed here, we are not claiming we do it.
No account
The current Android app does not require an account. You do not create a Pause 2 Mins login to use it.
Information the app uses
Usage access
Pause 2 Mins uses Android Usage Access / UsageStats so it can tell which app is in the foreground. That is how it recognizes when you are in an app you chose to watch. This information is processed on your device to provide the interruption. We do not send app-usage information to a Pause 2 Mins server.
Overlay
The app uses Android overlay permission (“display over other apps”) so the interruption can appear on top of a selected app. The overlay is shown on the device. We do not send overlay contents to a Pause 2 Mins server.
Settings you choose
Selected apps, whether watching is on, your name if you enter one, interruption preferences, and similar settings are stored locally on the device.
What we do not currently do
The current Android app does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not sell personal information. We do not use your app-usage information for advertising.
This website
This website is hosted as static files plus two small first-party endpoints on the same host. It does not include advertising pixels, session recording, or third-party analytics SDKs.
Early access list
If you join the waitlist, we store your email, the time you signed up, the page you were on, and any UTM campaign values already in that browser session. We use that to send launch news and to understand which social posts sent people here. We do not sell this list.
First-party events
The website records page views and a few product events (for example, that the demo was visible, or that a waitlist form was started or completed), together with the same UTM values when present. These events are stored on our host. They are not sent to Google Analytics or an advertising network.
Your browser will still send ordinary technical requests to whoever hosts the files (for example, to load a page).
Permissions you control
You can revoke usage access or overlay permission in Android settings. You can turn watching off in the app. You can uninstall Pause 2 Mins. Uninstalling removes the app and its local storage from that device, subject to how Android handles leftovers.
Children
Pause 2 Mins is a general consumer app. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If the app begins to use analytics, accounts, or servers, this policy will be updated before those claims would be true. The date at the top will change.
