How it works
Two minutes between you and the scroll.
Pause 2 Mins does not try to lock you out of your phone. It creates a small moment between the impulse to continue and the decision to continue.
Set up a moment between impulse and action.
Choose where you want a moment
Select the apps that tend to take more time than you meant to give them.
Allow Pause 2 Mins to notice those apps
On Android, that means usage access so the app can tell when a selected app is in the foreground, and overlay permission so the interruption can appear.
Take two minutes, then decide
When a selected app stays open past your threshold, Pause 2 Mins interrupts for two minutes. Continue if you still want to. Or stop.
During the pause
A lockout, then a choice
The interruption is a two-minute lockout, not a permanent block. You can breathe, or use Surprise me. Read and Memories are coming later — they are not in the current app.
Usage is processed on the device. There is no account. Pause 2 Mins is not a screen-time tracker and not a complete app blocker.
What it is not
Not a tracker. Not a locked door.
It does not treat anyone. It is a digital-wellbeing tool for the moment when scrolling has already started and you have not yet chosen to keep going — including doomscrolling.
